A Get-Together With A Purpose
16th December 2003 morning saw a gathering of heads of departments, faculty supervisors, social work students and senior staff of MCDS at the MCDS center. They represented Loyola College, Stella Maris College, Madras Christian College (Day & Evening), Mar Gregorios College and Nava Nirmana Social Institute. 16 social work students from these institutions are placed with MCDS for their practical experience and training. This get-together was a forum to enable these students, staff and MCDS to interact with one another, share their experience to make sure that the students are getting from the agency what they are looking for.
“Our department owes a great deal to MCDS. Education and practical training are carried out not so much on campus as at the various programmes undertaken by MCDS. These students are a privileged lot.”
