This is a forty-seated bus, converted into a mobile clinic. It has the following facilities:

Table and seating arrangements for the doctor and patient, examination bed with curtains, medical dressing table, oxygen cylinders, water tank and wash basin, a stretcher, medicine cabinets, special lights, siren and public address system, generator, comfortable seating arrangements for the medical team.

The vehicle was blessed by Dr.Lawrence Pious, Bishop of Madras, Mylapore and formally inaugurated by his Excellency Thiru Surjith Singh Barnala, Governor of Tamilnadu on 17th April 2006.

The MCDS Clinic-on-wheels is on the road Monday through Saturday, providing health services to select areas particularly where the victims of the tsunami are rehabilitated. This facility is also being utilized to organize awareness programmes on preventive and promotive health measures. The vehicle is conspicuous on the roads of Chennai by its unique appearance.
